Private resizing, no upload

Resizing or compressing an image for an email, a website or a form usually means uploading it to a converter. This tool does it all in your browser with the built-in canvas, so your image never leaves your device — ideal for personal photos, ID images and anything you'd rather keep off a stranger's server.

Frequently asked questions

Is my image uploaded?

No. Everything runs locally in your browser — you can confirm there are no uploads in the network tab.

What's the difference between the formats?

JPG is smallest for photos, PNG is lossless and supports transparency, and WebP usually gives the smallest file at the same quality.

Does the quality slider affect PNG?

No. PNG is lossless, so the quality slider only applies to JPG and WebP output.

Will it enlarge a small image?

You can, but enlarging beyond the original size can look soft — image data can't be invented. Downscaling keeps quality best.
